Christian Church transformed into Ganapathy Hindu temple in Scotland
Scotland (Britain): Former Wardlawhill Church in Rutherglen (Scotland, United Kingdom) is reportedly Sri Sundara Ganapathy Temple now.
Before the Temple organizers purchased it, Wardlawhill Church was affiliated to Church of Scotland, majority church in Scotland, whose aim is “to worship God by following the teachings of Jesus Christ”. It was then renovated and refurbished into a Hindu temple.
According to reports, on the opening day, following the Milk Abhishegam ritual for Lord Ganapathy, the deity was carried in a decorated palanquin on shoulders of several young men in a procession from the City Centre to the Temple hall through the Main Street with police escort, which included chanting and music. A Hindu priest from London conducted the opening ceremony, which included various ancient rituals, prayers, bhajans to the accompaniment of drums and manjeeras, lamps lighting, etc. An auction of sarees was held for temple development fund.
Besides two area councilors, Consulate General of India, and others; Ian Duncan of the Church of Scotland and his wife Jean, who were married in the Church (which has been converted to the temple now), also attended the inaugural ceremony. Besides Hindus, many non-Hindus have also visited the temple.
Meanwhile, Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, applauded efforts of temple-project leaders and Glasgow area community to realize this wonderful Hindu temple and cultural center.
Rajan Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, further said that it was important to pass on Hindu spirituality, concepts and traditions to coming generations amidst so many distractions in the consumerist society and hoped that this new temple complex would focus in this direction. Zed stressed that instead of running after materialism; we should focus on inner search and realization of self and work towards achieving moksh (liberation), which was the goal of Hinduism.
Ganapathy Temple; whose aim is to “promote the ideals of Hinduism” and which is part of the South Indian Cultural Centre; reportedly plans to serve the religious, spiritual, cultural and social needs of the community. Besides prayers, sermons, lectures by spiritual leaders, naming ceremonies, mundan, weddings, festivals, car poojas, etc.; it also plans to host Indian language-art-dance-music-yoga-spirituality instruction, marriage counseling and matrimonial services, community gatherings, elderly socialization, etc. It is a member of Scottish Interfaith Council and Dr. N. V. Doraiswamy is the President, reports suggest.

REPORT ON THE NATIONAL COUNCIL MEETING OF
AKHIL BHARATIYA ADHIVAKTA PARISHAD (ABAP)
HELD ON 27th and 28th DECEMBER 2010
1. The National Council Meeting of AKHIL BHARATIYA ADHIVAKTA PARISHAD ABAP was scheduled on 27th and 28th Decemmber’2010 at Bangalore. The delegates, numbering 138, from all States of the Country participated in the two days meeting. The theme for deliberations was “Parliamentary System: Reforms”. The deliberations regarding organizational work and the Resolution were conducted.
2. The National Council Meeting was inaugurated by Sri. Justice M.V. Venkatachalaiah, Former Chief Justice of India, who was the Chief Guest at the inauguration. Hon’ble Justice Sri. M. Rama Jois, Former Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court and currently Member of Parliament, Sri. Madan Das Devi, Senior RSS Pracharak and Rashtriya Saha Sarkaryavaah, Sri. Surya Kishanji, ABAB, Sangathan Manthri, Sri. Kamlesh Singhji, ABAP Saha Sangatan Mantri, Sri. Suresh Kumar, Minister of Law, Government of Karnataka and other dignitaries were present during the inauguration. Hon’ble Justice Parvath Rao, former Judge of High Court of Andhra Pradesh and President of ABAP presided over the inaugural function.
3. Hon’ble Justice Sri. M.N. Venkatachalaiah spoke at length regarding genesis of the Parliamentary System. The importance of the Cabinet and the pivotal role played by the Prime Minister in the system. He said that the majority of the Parliamentarians and Legislators do not in actuality, represent the majority of the voters. But, due to first past post system they have been elected. He suggested reforms in the system so as to make the Parliamentarians more responsible to the citizens. He suggested Electoral Reforms to bring about qualitative enhancement in the elected representatives. Sri. M.N. Venkatachalaiah also advised the legal fraternity that it had a great responsibility and it has to work pro-actively to uphold the Constitution and Rule of Law.
4. Justice Sri. M. Rama Jois, in the First Working session of the meeting, spoke about the various reforms and amendments required in the Constitution to bring fundamental improvement in the working of the system. He emphasized that uniform marriage laws, protection of Cow, prohibition of liquor which are all in the IV Schedule of the Constitution namely Directive Principles of State Policy, are to be incorporated in the III Schedule i.e., in the Fundamental Rights chapter of the Constitution. He emphasized the concept of Dharma, Trivarga and especially Arthashoucha. He opined that purity in the means of acquisition of wealth is the foremost requirement for individual and societal well-being. He stressed that no person can be clean by taking bath 100 times or by going round and round the temples, if his means of acquiring wealth are immoral.

In the II working session, former Secretary General of the Loksabha, renowned Scholar and Author Dr. Subhash.C.Kashyap gave a thought provoking lecture on the measures that can be taken for bringing Parliamentary as well as Electoral Reforms. Question and answer session after the lecture was highly spirited. Sri. Subhash.C.Kashyap answered the queries of the delegates and the outcome was intellectually enriching and enlightening.
6. This session was followed by III working session which included the placing of draft Resolution for contemplation and deliberation of the delegates. Sri. Srinivas Murthy, Advocate, Andhra Pradesh gave an introductory note. Sri. Vikramjit Banerjee, Advocate at the Supreme Court of India, read the draft Resolution in English and Another Delegate read out the Hindi version of the Resolution.
7. The last programme for the day was Bharatanatyam performed by young artistes. The delegates and dignitaries were enthralled by the performance of the young artistes who were mostly school children.
8. On 28th December’10, the IV and the last working session was devoted to the deliberations on the organizational work of ABAP in all the States. The Secretaries of each State presented a note on the working and programme conducted by the Adhivakta Parishad in their respective States. This was followed by the passing of the Resolution by the delegates. It was resolved that reforms to the Parliamentary system are a must and such reforms as are required to make the system more responsive to the masses of the country are imminent. The Resolution also stressed the need to Indianize the Parliamentary system, by incorporating the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi, Swami Vivekananda and Dattopant Thengadi. 9. After the last working session, Sri. Suryakishanji, National Sangathan Manthri of ABAP was felicitated. Vedaghosha was conducted by two Acharyas of Veda Vignana Gurukulam, Bangalore. Sri. Bhupender Yadav, Advocate, Supreme Court of India spoke about the personality and contribution of Sri. Surya Kishanji to ABAP. Sri. Surya Kishanji was relieved of his responsibility as Sangathan Manthri and henceforth he would guide the organization as Margadarshak. Sri. kamalesh Singhji, who was the Saha Sangatan Mantri, was declared as the Sangatan Mantri of ABAP
10. It was decided to hold next Executive Committee Meeting at Jodhpur, Rajasthan, during April/May’2011. Sri. Bharathkumar, All India General Secretary of ABAP spoke at the concluding session. Sri. M.B. Naragund, President, Abhivaktha Parishath, Karnataka and his wife Smt. Sona were felicitated.
11. The session was followed by the samarop, where in. Sri. madan Das Devi ji had addressed the delegates, and spoke about the need for the organization and guided the delegates
12. The delegates expressed their happiness with regard to the arrangements, food, lodging, hospitality. The delegates were accommodated at comfortable hotels. Bangalore sightseeing was organized for the family members of the delegates. Tasty food, taking into account the needs of delegates from various parts of the Country was provided.

CPM Mayor who inaugurated RSS karyalaya is suspended
The CPM Mayor of Kollam, (Kerala) Shri N Padmalochanan recently inaugurated the karyalaya of RSS Mahasangik at Ashramam Grounds, Kerala. He lighted the lamp in front of the photographs of Doctorji and Guruji.
Shocked by the act, the CPM hit back by saying he has challenged the ideological and political positions of the party. The Kollam CPM would soon meet to discuss the matter.
Padmalochanan has dared the CPM and retorted back by saying, that as Mayor, he belongs not only to CPM but to the entire district. "When a major event, in which more than three lakh people are participating, it is my duty as the town’s father to provide all amenities and stand by them. The RSS has cleaned the ground, which was in a dilaphilated condition. Why didn’t the party protest, when CPM secretary Pinarayi Vijayan shared dais with Madhani or when CPM ministers participated in the public reception to Madhani, after his release from the jail, Hasn’t Pinarayi visited the Sunni Markaz and shared dais with Kanthapuram Musaliar. Didn’t I participate in a Jamait-e-Islami function, a few months back? In CPM, if we participate in Muslim functions, no problem, if we participate in Hindu functions, we are targetted. Why ?’’, he asked his confidants.
The CPM is on the verge of collapse in Kerala. Its attempts to woo the Christian/Muslim vote banks have alienated it from the traditional Hindu support base. Former CPM MPs AP Abdullakutty, Manoj Kurishinkal (Latin Catholic) and Shivaraman (SC/ST) have gone back to the Congress. There is a heavy flow of Hindu CPM cadres to RSS/BJP as it happened in the seventies. This has given confidence to CPM leaders to defy leadership and attend RSS shakhas and programmes.
Incidentally the cleaning work at the asharam grounds was inaugurated by A Shajahan, District Collector.

There has been a long time planning happening to create communal tensions in the old city of Hyderabad by MIM to protect its vote bank which is being eroded by TDP, Communists and Congress.
MIM always shows BJP as the real threat to the Mulsims in Hyderabad despite the fact that BJP is no match to it. Now to secure its vote bank to itself again it is playing prank with this threat of saffron gangs when the reality is these communal clashes are its own making. And it is faking it even in the assembly talking about 10th class students difficulties of reaching the examination halls despite the fact it does not have any compassion towards them at all. It is a political game unraveled by MIM (which it learnt well in the company of Congress leaders).

MIM - ruling political party of Hyderabad (Yes, Hyderabad is being ruled by muslim extremist party as it is partner of congress in Municipal corporation of Hyderabad) unveiled its plans wipe out its Hindu minority from the face of old city for ever. There had been continuous attacks on Hindu families in that area from past two days and our Secular Media does not feel it is that important to report.
In the riots happening unabatedly several Hindu temples were demolished or damaged. One Goshala (cow farm) had been burnt and all the cows are burnt alive by this muslim savages.
One Mata temple had been damaged by pouring acid on the Mata Idol and on burning down the temple. Ruling Congress is a puppet in the hands of MIM. Muslims votes are precious to it but not the Hindu lives.
Hindus of Old city of Hyderabad are facing extermination in the hands of savages of MIM. State government is a mute spectator while muslims are attacking houses of Hindus.
Police are powerless, watching these atrocities as spectators standing by since most of these attacks are led by MIM leaders themselves.
Now government has just announced curfew and 144 section from today and when it is very much aware Hindus in this are preparing to celebrate Hanuman Jayanti tomorrow.
These riots are well planned by MIM a month back it self. It painted entire Hyderabad green by decorating with flags and buntings all over the city on the occassion of Prophet Mohammed birthday and conducted rallies all over hyderabad. It is to be learnt they decorated these green buntings with moon and star where there were no muslim residents at all.
Generally Municipal corporation of hyderabad removes these kind of buntings with in a week or so. Since, MIM is ruling party of Hyderabad corporation they were not removed even after it is more than a month. When hindus want to decorate with their saffron bunting on the occassion of Sri RAma Navami there has been objection from the muslims and there were skirmishes in the old city at that time.
Now on the occassion of Hanuman Jayanti which is celebrated well in the old city, Muslims attacked Hindu youth who were decorating the area with Flags and Buntings.
From then onwards they went on rampage rioting the hindu properties and temples. There has been no stopping for them even when there has been atrocities on Hindu families and on women and kids. This government has taken no action on these perpetrators and rioters. Police department headed by a Muslim is behaving as a spectator rather than a enforcer.
Instead of controlling these mobs with strictest action this government now declared 144 section so it can now refuse permission for these Hanuman Jayanti celebrations.
See how sick is this congress government in appeasing Muslims and kneeling before this MIM just to save their power. For their power hungry Hindus are paying the price. Despite being citizens Secular Democratic Indian Republic Hindu women and children had to undergo humiliating attacks on them by the Muslim savages of Hyderabad.
Only God can save these Hindus from the Hands of these Muslims saves as Hindu leaders like Chandra Babu (TDP), Chiranjeevi (PRP), KCR (TRS), Communists and Rosaiah behave as if they cannot see what is happening. They do not even dare to say word to MIM about their atrocities.

One Mata temple had been damaged by pouring acid on the Mata Idol and on burning down the temple. Ruling Congress is a puppet in the hands of MIM. Muslims votes are precious to it but not the Hindu lives.
Hindus of Old city of Hyderabad are facing extermination in the hands of savages of MIM. State government is a mute spectator while muslims are attacking houses of Hindus.
Police are powerless, watching these atrocities as spectators standing by since most of these attacks are led by MIM leaders themselves.
Now government has just announced curfew and 144 section from today and when it is very much aware Hindus in this are preparing to celebrate Hanuman Jayanti tomorrow.
These riots are well planned by MIM a month back it self. It painted entire Hyderabad green by decorating with flags and buntings all over the city on the occassion of Prophet Mohammed birthday and conducted rallies all over hyderabad. It is to be learnt they decorated these green buntings with moon and star where there were no muslim residents at all.
Generally Municipal corporation of hyderabad removes these kind of buntings with in a week or so. Since, MIM is ruling party of Hyderabad corporation they were not removed even after it is more than a month. When hindus want to decorate with their saffron bunting on the occassion of Sri RAma Navami there has been objection from the muslims and there were skirmishes in the old city at that time.
Now on the occassion of Hanuman Jayanti which is celebrated well in the old city, Muslims attacked Hindu youth who were decorating the area with Flags and Buntings.
From then onwards they went on rampage rioting the hindu properties and temples. There has been no stopping for them even when there has been atrocities on Hindu families and on women and kids. This government has taken no action on these perpetrators and rioters. Police department headed by a Muslim is behaving as a spectator rather than a enforcer.
Instead of controlling these mobs with strictest action this government now declared 144 section so it can now refuse permission for these Hanuman Jayanti celebrations.
See how sick is this congress government in appeasing Muslims and kneeling before this MIM just to save their power. For their power hungry Hindus are paying the price. Despite being citizens Secular Democratic Indian Republic Hindu women and children had to undergo humiliating attacks on them by the Muslim savages of Hyderabad.
Only God can save these Hindus from the Hands of these Muslims saves as Hindu leaders like Chandra Babu (TDP), Chiranjeevi (PRP), KCR (TRS), Communists and Rosaiah behave as if they cannot see what is happening. They do not even dare to say word to MIM about their atrocities.

WHO CAN DONATE BLOOD?
1. Persons between the age of 18 years and 55 years.
2. Persons with a body weight of 45 Kgs and more.
3. Persons free from diseases like AIDS, Cancer, Jaundice, Malaria, Diabetes,
Asthma, Heart and Kidney troubles, Hypertension or Anemia.
4. Men can donate blood once in three months and women once in four months.
5. Those who have -ve blood group, better not to donate in camps. They will be rare hence, enroll your name with blood bank so that, they can contact you in emergency.
YOU MUST KNOW:
1. Human body contains 5 to 6 liters of blood. Only 350/ 450 ml (One unit) of blood will be received.
2. By donating blood new blood will be generated in the body which increases memory power and reduces cholesterol.
3. Half an hour after donating blood one can engage in normal daily routine works.
4. Blood will be collected after conducting necessary tests.
5. Disposable Syringes and needle are used.
6. Donated quantity of blood will be recouped within 24 hours and all essential contents of blood will be recouped within one week.
7. The pain will not be more than that of a prick of injection.
For donating blood dos and don'ts:
BEFORE: 1. Take sufficient food and liquid drinks.
2. Have a peaceful mind free from fear or anxiety.
3. Do not consume liquors or medicines and avoid smoking
AFTER: 1. Take sufficient food and liquids
2. Light refreshments and rest for a minimum period of 15 minutes is a must.
3. Do not consume liquors until after 24 hours.
4. If you experience giddiness keep your head in between the knees and lie down flat or sit down.
